The Rolling mill, the main equipment for metal rolling, consists of rolls, rolling mill housing, bearing packages, bearings, worktables, rolling guides, rail seats, roll adjustment devices, upper roll balance devices, and roll change devices.The rolling mill housing is an important part of the working stand, and the roll chock and roll adjustment device are all installed on the stand. To withstand the rolling force, the rack must have sufficient strength and rigidity.The archway is to install and adjust all the parts in the work stand such as rolls, roll bearings, roll adjustment devices and guides through slide plates and sliders, and bear all the rolling forces.


The reasons for the damage of the rolling mill stand can be summarized as follows:


1. Metal fatigue wear: the rolling mill housing is constantly impacted by forces from all directions during the operation of the mill, and the liner itself and the mating surface of the liner and the housing will produce normal metal fatigue wear, which is caused by the characteristics of the metal itself;


2. Cooling water corrosion: Because the mating surface between the liner and the archway is a metal-to-metal fit, the metal can achieve a fairly high surface finish and flatness in time during the processing, but the two parts cannot be matched in terms of mating 100% fit, which creates a gap between the mating surfaces. During the production process, the cooling water will enter the gap between the mating surface of the liner and the mill housing. The cooling water will corrode the surface of the mill housing and form an oxide layer. In this way, the liner will cause a loose oxide layer during the rolling process. Squeeze and beat, etc., so that the gap will further increase, which will cause the arch itself to corrode and wear more and more seriously until it affects the quality of the rolled products. The corrosion of the circulating cooling water to the mill housing is one of the most important reasons for the corrosion and wear of the rolling housing;


3. During the operation of the rolling mill, the bolts that fasten the liner are loosened and the bolts are elongated: If the liner fastening bolts need to be checked and tightened regularly, the normal inspection time should be when the roll is replaced. Due to equipment management problems, the fastening bolts cannot be tightened effectively and in time, and there will be a certain gap between the lining plate and the mill housing. In this way, the lining plate will slap on the housing itself in a short period of time. Causes mental fatigue on the surface of the archway, which in turn causes the archway to wear.
