The coating is composed of intermetallic compound + a small amount of amorphous. This kind of composite structure of intermetallic compound and amorphous phase with high specific strength, high hardness and high oxidation resistance has good mechanical properties.
Adding w(B)2% and w(Si)2-75% to Zr65Al7.5Ni10Cu17.5 alloy powder, it was found that the amorphous content in the coating increased and the hardness increased. The highest hardness of the two coatings reached HK909. 6 and HK1444.8.
